The biggest artwork in the Motel Bodega catalogue to date!

Made from beautiful fabrics collected over time, stitched together then stretched and framed by hand using FSC certified meranti wood. The whole process happens in the Motel Bodega studio, situated in the museum quarter of Amsterdam. 

Hanging at The Hoxton Amsterdam, the inspiration for these pieces came from a roadtrip through California. I came across a roadsign for ‘The Fountain Of Youth Resort’ which was a retirement holiday park filled with sassy 70+’s living their best life. It got me wondering what the millennial equivalent would be and I began dreaming up a Motel Bodega resort concept.

The Palm Motel is somewhere between a retro roadside motel that you recognize but can’t remember from where- and The Santa Monica Proper. It’s gorgeous, it’s groovy, and it kinda feels like a scene from a movie. The dance floor is filled with modern cowgirls and guys. They’re fun, well travelled and appreciate the value in real connections. Nobody knows how many Negroni's will be on the tab but at the Club Cowgirl the only thing to worry about is how you’re going to remember every detail of the best night of your life. The Palm Motel is taking bookings for sometime soon. Will you be checking in?
